Equality and Diversity Policy.

Liverpool Road Studios is dedicated to a supportive and inclusive culture amongst its directors, staff, tenants and visitors. We reflect that commitment through the services and experiences we offer and how we operate. We are always trying to improve our ways of working to be more inclusive and equal.

Our aim is to ensure that all directors, tenants, staff, and visitors are given equal opportunity and that Liverpool Road Studios is open to all sectors of our community. We want everyone we work with to be respected and able to give their best as a result, where individual differences are recognised and valued.

This policy reinforces our commitment to providing equality and fairness and to oppose and avoid all forms of unlawful discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, religion or belief or sex and sexual orientation.

Liverpool Road Studios commitments:

  • To create an environment in which individual differences and the contributions of all are recognised and valued.

  • To create a working environment that promotes dignity and respect for all.

  • To create and environment free from any form of intimidation, bullying or harassment.

  • To promote equality in the workplace which Liverpool Road Studios believes is good management practice.

  • To encourage anyone who feels they have been subject to discrimination to raise their concerns so that we can apply corrective measures.

  • To regularly review all our employment and organisational practices to include equality and diversity monitoring so that fairness is maintained at all time.

Liverpool Road Studios Equality and Diversity Policy and commitments will be available to everyone we work with. We will also notify of what to do if it is felt this is not being upheld. It is our expectation that Directors, artists, staff and visitors will comply with its requirements and promote fairness throughout. This policy will also be drawn to the attention of funding agencies, stakeholders, partners, audiences, learners and job applicants.

Our policy will be monitored and reviewed annually to ensure that equality and diversity is promoted throughout our organisation.

We may update this Equality and Diversity Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we’ll update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
